Housing queues in Sweden

Separate senior queue for designated senior housing (Linden etc.). You must be 60 to join the senior queue and 65 to apply for those apartments.

Båstadhem introduced digital parking permits (from July 1, 2023) via Parkster. Tenants apply via a link, rent unreserved parking spaces; visitor parking may be paid and there are plans to install more charging points.

Most apartment buildings have parking options (engine heaters, carports, cold or heated garages). A spot isn’t guaranteed for everyone; contact customer service to apply and see fees.

Student queue: Register and email your admission notice to info@bostadvasteras.se. Housing is first-come, first-served; you receive an offer via Mina sidor and must reply or be blocked. There is a housing guarantee for new MDU students.

Senior apartments are secure, well-equipped rental homes for older adults offering community, activities and support hosts; balconies, elevators, shared spaces and often spa facilities; requirement: registered in Mjölby and aged from 63.

Botrygg offers parking spaces and garages in several cities, lets you join a waiting list online, and provides EV charging points for an additional monthly fee plus an effect charge.

Housing for seniors (55+); category/assisted living aimed at those aged 55+, applied via the housing queue on Mina Sidor. Registration must be updated at least yearly according to the rental policy.

Parking queue: Join the parking-space queue via Mina sidor to rent a parking spot, carport or garage; specify desired area and email in your profile and view vacancies under “Lediga objekt”.

Senior queue: Faxeholmen's senior queue for dedicated senior housing, for example Melonen (55+) and the Linden sheltered housing (65+).

The sheltered housing Linden offers well-laid-out apartments for 65+, with modern kitchens, glazed balconies, appliances included and communal facilities (dining room, gym, relaxation). A care host is present some days.

Parking spaces are listed under 'Ledigt just nu' and managed through Filipstadsbostäder's interest database (Mina sidor). Notice period for a parking space is normally three calendar months.

Each apartment includes a storage room (basement, attic or yard). Extra storage can be rented in some areas; contact rentals for availability.

Finnvedsbostäder offers garages, carports, zonal and fixed parking; apply via the vehicle-space queue on the website (available spots posted every Tuesday). Rules and enforcement managed with Securitas.

To apply for a parking spot you must activate yourself in the parking queue via Mina sidor: select "Mitt sökande" - "fordonsplats", click "köregistrering", follow the steps and give consent.

Forshaga Housing rents marked parking spaces in each area; unauthorized parking should be reported to Securitas. Visitor parking (max 24 hours) is available. Illegal parking is fined according to municipal rates.

Senior housing are ordinary rental buildings for seniors (at least one household member 70+). Fortinova offers these in Varberg, Lödöse and Lilla Edet; register interest via the housing queue on the website.

Sheltered housing: from age 60 you may join the queue; to rent one occupant must be at least 65. Rules also apply to subletting and transfers. Basic requirements must be met.

Björkhaga is centrally located where residents live in their own apartments while having access to the services offered by a sheltered (trygghetsboende) residence.

Haninge Bostäder rents about 1,700 garages and parking spaces, primarily to tenants; spaces are advertised (Thu–Sun). Three months' notice.

Haninge Bostäder offers senior apartments at Tallhöjden and Parkvillan for people aged 65 and over. You can register for the housing queue from the age of 16. Apartments are allocated through a dedicated housing queue based on queue points.

Student apartments are only available to post-secondary students (university, college, folk high school, some vocational programs); proof of CSN eligibility is required and study certificates are requested periodically; indicate student status in your interest registration.
