Edethus housing queue

Edethus, AB Edethus, is Lilla Edet's municipal housing company, with 345 rental homes in the municipality. Alongside ordinary rentals they let parking spaces and garages. Registering is free. There is no annual fee. To apply you need a valid Swedish personal identity number.

The queue runs on queue time, not points. Queue time counts from the day you register, and when a home falls vacant you register interest on Mina sidor. Among applicants who meet the letting policy they go by the queue list, together with a customer assessment of finances, a credit check and references. You get no numbered place, but the time counts from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. If you already live with Edethus you are automatically in the queue, and your continuous registered residence time counts as queue time. As a municipal company, every fifth home goes to the municipality when there is a need, and those are exempt from the queue rules.

Edethus publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the size of the home and how many applicants with longer queue time apply for the same one. If no one else is interested you can get a home even after a week. To keep your place you need to update your application at least every six months, or you lose it. Once you have been given a home, 12 months must pass before you can switch to another in the stock.
