Boplats Växjö housing queue

Boplats Växjö is not a landlord. It is Växjö municipality's housing agency. It runs two queues. This page is the ordinary housing queue, not the student queue. The municipal company Vidingehem AB is currently the only connected landlord, and Vidingehem has no public queue of its own. The company owns 11,408 homes, of which 2,065 are student homes let in the other queue. The fee for the ordinary queue is SEK 125 a year from the year you turn 20. Until then it is free. The student queue is free of charge. There is no regular login. For anyone who pays, what keeps the place alive is that the fee is paid.

The queue runs on points, not on a visible place number. You earn one point per day from the day you register, and the points are personal. You can register from the year you turn 17. To apply and to rent you must have turned 18. You can hold five interest registrations at a time. The six applicants with the most points are invited to a viewing, and the home is then offered in points order. An invitation is not the same as getting the contract. Vidingehem sets the conditions, not the agency. Vidingehem states that the average wait for a home was 5.04 years in 2025. How long it takes depends on the area, the size and the rent. Some homes are advertised as Poängfritt and can be applied for without using queue points.

If you do not pay the fee within a month of the payment notice you are blocked and cannot use your points until you have paid. If the fee has not arrived within six months the points are reset and you are deregistered. A new registration starts from zero. When you sign a contract you use only as many points as it took to have the most. You keep the rest. If you get a home through Poängfritt you keep the points.
