Botrygg housing queue

Alongside ordinary rentals there is a small student stock: 66 apartments in Sörbyängen in Örebro and 7 at the former Lärarhögskolan in Linköping, plus parking spaces, garages and charging spots. In Linköping, Norrköping, Göteborg and Örebro, homes are applied for through Botrygg's own interest registration. In Stockholm they are let through Stockholms Bostadsförmedling as well as Botrygg's own queue. In Uppsala they are let through Uppsala Bostadsförmedling. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

For some properties the queue runs on points; for others it is first come, first served. Which rule applies is set per property. When a home falls vacant you register interest on the customer pages, at most five listings at a time, and among those who meet the letting requirements and who remain interested after the viewing, a credit check is run on whoever is first in line. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but where points count it is worth registering early. Botrygg do not publish how points accrue.

Botrygg publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the location, the size of the home, which allocation rule the property uses and how many others apply for the same one. To keep the registration active you need to log in at least once a year. Botrygg do not publish what happens to the points if you miss that. Once you have got an apartment you can join the queue again and collect points afresh; there is no separate internal-transfer queue, and existing tenants have no priority.
