Bollebo housing queue

Stiftelsen Bollebygds Hyresbostäder, known as Bollebo, is Bollebygd Municipality's municipal housing foundation. The board is elected by the municipal council. They own and manage 496 rental homes and 13 commercial premises in Bollebygd, Olsfors and Töllsjö, plus parking and garage spaces. Alongside ordinary rentals there are homes from age 70 at Skattegårdsvägen 13 and sheltered housing at Ballebovägen 13 from age 70. Parking and storage are let the same way as apartments, through Mina sidor. Bollegården's nursing home, with 83 apartments, is block-let to the municipality and is not applied for through the queue. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the day you register. Registration is personal and cannot be transferred. When a home falls vacant it is listed for seven days. You may register interest in at most three vacant homes at a time, and among those who meet the basic requirements the applicant with the longest queue time is offered the contract. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. If there are no applicants after seven days the home is listed again. Then it is first come, first served. Personal, medical or social reasons give no priority, except in very special cases.

Bollebo write that on average it takes three to four years to get a contract. Times vary by area. They publish no exact figure in months. To keep your queue time you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once every twelve months, or the queue time and the account are deregistered. They send no reminder. When you sign a contract for an apartment the queue place is deregistered.
