Haninge Bostäder housing queue

Haninge Bostäder AB is owned by Haninge Municipality and is the municipality's municipal housing company. At the end of 2025 they had 2,467 rental homes, from Utö and Dalarö in the south to Vendelsö in the north. Alongside ordinary rentals they let student apartments and youth apartments for ages 18-26, plus parking and storage. All letting goes through the company's own queue, not through Bostadsförmedlingen in Stockholm. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the day you register. The applicant with the most points who meets the basic requirements is offered the contract. You may have five active interest registrations. You can register once you have turned 16, but you cannot apply or sign a contract until you have turned 18. It is not Bostadsförmedlingen's queue, but the points count from the day you join Haninge Bostäder's own queue. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. From 3 December 2025 you cannot have a co-applicant in the queue. Only the person who received the offer stands on the contract, except when two existing tenants already share a contract and are moving within the stock. A student apartment requires post-secondary study with eligibility for CSN, at least 15 credits per term. Upper secondary school and municipal adult education are not enough. You can live in a student apartment for at most six years.

Haninge Bostäder publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. To keep your points you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once every 18 months, or you drop to zero points. If you do not log in within another 52 days the customer profile is deleted. When you sign an ordinary tenancy the points count from the day you signed, at 1.5 points per day. If you live in a student or youth apartment you keep the points in the ordinary queue. If you move out of Haninge Bostäder you keep only the points that correspond to one point per day.
