About Wennergrens
Wennergrens, formally J. Wennergren Byggnadsaktiebolag, is a private landlord based in Hjo. The company started in 1937 and manages around 1,400 rental homes in Hjo, Karlsborg, Tibro and Skövde. Most of them in Hjo. Alongside ordinary rentals there are senior homes at Rödingen and 36 apartments in the Rönnen block. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue does not work like a municipal housing agency. You get no numbered place. Wennergrens let primarily according to how long you have been a registered applicant, and they speak of queue points when you carry that time into the senior queue. When a home falls vacant you register interest via Mina sidor, normally for seven days. For ordinary apartments they then make a discretionary assessment: each applicant's registration time carries most weight, but special consideration and priority can count too, for example existing tenants who have lived there at least 12 months, separation, family reasons, via the social services partnership in Hjo municipality, or when a job in town requires a quick move-in. For some homes. Ground floor or lift, lake view, sheltered housing and homes with investment support. The offer may instead go straight to those who have been registered longest. The Rönnen block has a separate queue: among those who chose Rönnen as an area, the home goes to whoever has the longest time in that queue. You can join the Rödingen senior queue from 55; offers come only from 65, but waiting time counts before that and existing points come with you. A contract requires that you have turned 18. It is not a numbered place, but the time counts from the day you register. That is why joining early is worthwhile, even before you start looking.
Wennergrens publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the town, the size of the home and how many others apply for the same one. They give no exact figure in months. To keep your place current you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once every twelve months, or the data on your application is deleted.
