Vingåkershem housing queue

AB Vingåkershem is Vingåker Municipality's public housing company and lets 347 apartments. The homes are in Vingåker town and in Baggetorp, Högsjö and Marmorbyn, from older buildings to newly renovated houses and some terraced apartments with access to green space. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

You register as an applicant on Mina sidor and join Vingåkershem's housing queue. On Mina sidor you can follow which place you hold. When a home falls vacant you register interest. Vacant and upcoming listings are published on their renting page. Before a contract they run a credit check and process the details needed to assess whether you can be accepted as a tenant. It is the company's own queue, not a municipal housing agency, but you get a visible queue place. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. You can join the queue once you have turned 16, but a contract is signed at 18 at the earliest.

Vingåkershem publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the size of the home, the area and how many others apply for the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. To count as an active applicant you need to log in at least once every twelve months.
