About Tyresö Bostadsförmedling

Tyresö Bostadsförmedling is not a single landlord but Tyresö municipality's housing agency. It owns no homes; it collects rentals from both municipal and private landlords in the municipality into one shared queue. The municipal company Tyresö Bostäder lets its around 3,500 rental homes through the queue, and private property owners such as Klövern advertise too. This is not Bostadsförmedlingen i Stockholm: it is Tyresö's own agency, with its own queue, fee and rules. The queue is open regardless of where you live. From 16, standing in the queue is free. From 18 the annual fee is SEK 275. If you are allocated a home through the agency there is an SEK 650 brokerage fee when you sign the contract.

The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the day you register. You stand in the queue personally under your own personal identity number, and points cannot be shared or transferred. When a home falls vacant you register interest on Mina sidor, for up to five homes at a time. Applications are sorted by queue time, and the offer goes to those with the most points. After that it is the landlord who assesses you and sets the requirements: income should be in proportion to the rent, you should have no payment defaults, be able to provide references, and not own or rent another permanent home. Individual requirements can differ between landlords.

Tyresö Bostadsförmedling publish no average queue time. They write that the wait varies by home type and area, including new-builds with higher rents and areas with more turnover, but they give no exact figure in months. There is no published requirement to log in at set intervals. What you must do from 18 is pay the annual fee of SEK 275 to stay in the queue. If you are allocated a home, your points are reset, but you can stay in the queue and keep collecting points. If you previously stood in Tyresö Bostäder's ordinary or senior queue you keep the higher point total, provided you register with the agency and pay the fee.
