About Svenbo
AB Svenljunga Bostäder, Svenbo, is Svenljunga Municipality's public housing company and lets 569 rental homes. The apartments are in central Svenljunga, including Flora, Karlsberg, Karolinelund and Torstorp, and in Hillared, Sexdrega, Holsljunga, Överlida, Mjöbäck and Östra Frölunda. Existing tenants can register interest in a parking space, garage or charging spot on Mina sidor. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue does not run on points. You file an interest registration on svenbo.com, or on paper, and then have to stay active yourself: even if you have a search profile you still have to register interest in the specific home you want. How long you have been a registered applicant is weighed in, as are existing tenants' changing housing needs, social and medical grounds, and priority for women exposed to violence. If several people apply, Svenbo decide who gets the offer. A vacated home is offered to at most three people in the interest queue. The registration is personal and cannot be transferred. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, and there are no points to collect.
Svenbo publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many others register interest in the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. The interest registration stays on file for one year. If they do not hear from you during that year it is removed. After three declined offers it is removed as well.
