Severinssons housing queue

Alongside ordinary rentals from one to five rooms in Trollhättan and Uddevalla, you can apply for a parking space, commercial premises or storage by contacting the letting office. Registering puts you in the housing queue automatically. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on queue time, not on points. Homes are listed on the website, you register interest, and among the applicants who meet Severinssons' letting policy it is queue time that decides who is offered the home. They also put real weight on selection: location, size and standard should fit the household, and they assess whether you can pay the rent. You must have turned 18 and be registered as resident in Sweden, have documented income (a wage, unemployment benefit, CSN, a pension or social assistance), have no current payment defaults, and be able to show home insurance before moving in. They always run a credit check, and often take references from employers and previous landlords. Registration is personal and cannot be transferred.

Severinssons publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the town, the size of the home and how many applicants with longer queue time apply for the same one. They give no exact figure in months. To keep your place you must activate it at least once every twelve months: log in to Mina sidor and click update interest registration, or call or email. Miss that and you are removed. If you accept a home the queue time resets, and you are removed from the queue.
