Säterbostäder housing queue

Säterbostäder AB is Säter Municipality's public housing company and is owned by the municipality. They manage around 1,000 apartments and 56 commercial premises across some 30 housing areas in Säter, Gustafs and Stora Skedvi, including senior housing such as Falkgränd. They also manage four servicehus and care homes. These are ordinary rentals for permanent living. Registering is free. There is no annual fee. You need a Swedish personal identity number to join the queue.

The queue runs on points. When a home falls vacant you register interest via Mina sidor, and among the applicants who meet the letting policy, the points carry the most weight. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. If you are looking because you are selling a house in Säter Municipality you can get one extra year's queue points. Special priority may also be considered for companies that are developing or establishing themselves, and for workers who commute into the municipality. You must live in the home, be registered there, and hold valid home insurance.

Säterbostäder publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. To keep your points you need to log in at least once every twelve months. When you are allocated a home the queue points reset and you are deactivated in the queue. If you want to collect new points you can reactivate via Mina sidor.
