The foundation's purpose is to give working people in the Gothenburg area, on ordinary or low incomes, the chance to live to a good standard on reasonable terms. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue runs on points. You earn one point for each day you are registered. When a home falls vacant you register interest yourself on the website, and among those who meet the letting policy, queue time is guiding rather than absolute. The policy requires that income comes mainly from paid work, and the foundation has both an income floor and an income cap. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join.
Robert Dicksons stiftelse publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more queue time apply for the same one. They give no exact figure in months. To keep your place you need to log in and update your details at least once every twelve months, or the queue time is lost. When you move into a home the queue days reset and the profile is deleted. For as long as you live there you may count occupancy days as queue days if you register again, but when you move out the days reset once more.
