About Nordmalingshus
Nordmalingshus AB is Nordmaling Municipality's wholly owned public housing company and lets 369 apartments in Nordmaling, Rundvik, Hörnsjö and Gräsmyr. Alongside ordinary rentals they have senior housing and sheltered housing, including Kungsvägen's trygghetsboende and the Kullen senior housing, plus parking spaces that are let first to existing tenants. There may be more than one parking queue. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue runs on points. You collect one point per day, and the points reset when you sign a tenancy. Vacant homes are listed on Mina sidor: when a home falls vacant you register interest. Nordmaling Municipality has no shared municipal housing agency, but the points count while you are in the queue. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. When you are offered a home they run a credit check and collect information on your finances, employment and previous housing.
Nordmalingshus publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. To stay in the queue you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once a year, or your details are deleted automatically.
