Nordek housing queue

Nordek is a family-owned property company and Örnsköldsvik's largest private landlord. They own and manage around 1,000 apartments in Örnsköldsvik, Ås, Björna, Långviksmon and Mellansel, plus commercial premises and shops. Garage spaces and engine-heater parking spaces are let through the office, not through the queue. To register interest in an apartment you must sign up on Mina sidor. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue does not work like a municipal housing agency. You get no visible numbered place, and Nordek publish no queue points. You create a Mina sidor account, can subscribe to vacant homes by size and area, and register interest when something falls vacant. After that you see offers and accept or decline. When you are offered a home they run a credit check and collect information on your finances, employment and previous housing. They do not publish how applicants are ranked among those who have registered interest.

Nordek publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many others register interest in the same one. They give no exact figure in months. To stay an applicant you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once every six months. Nordek do not publish what happens to the registration if you miss that, nor what happens to it when you sign a contract.
