About Muro
Muro lets rental homes in Jönköping, from the centre out to Torpa and Ljungarum, and has senior housing such as Sannaängen where at least one applicant must have turned 70. To apply you need to be registered on Mina sidor. The first time you enter your personal identity number and a password, after which you can log in with BankID. You may register interest in at most five homes at once. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue does not work like a municipal housing agency. You get no numbered place and there are no queue points to collect. You fill in your details and preferences, and when a matching home falls vacant you can register interest. Who is invited to a viewing is decided by the letting officer, among applicants who meet Muro's letting policy. After the viewing you log in and accept or decline within the stated time; whoever accepts gets the contract and commits to signing it. A small share of homes is let through priority, which you can apply for in writing.
Muro publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the size of the home and how many others apply for the same one. They give no exact figure in months. To keep the account active you need to log in at least once every three months. If you do not reply after a viewing you are blocked for three months; say no three times within three months and you are blocked too. Once you get an apartment you are automatically deregistered.
