M2 Gruppen housing queue

M2 Gruppen is a private landlord under M2 Asset Management. The latest published rental-home figure is 165 apartments in Växjö, which they sold in March 2026. They left Gävle in 2023 and Jönköping in 2024. After that sale the Q1 2026 report says the directly owned stock is commercial only, mainly in Stockholm. Vacant homes and parking spaces are still applied for through Mina sidor. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue does not work like a municipal housing agency. You get no numbered place and there are no queue points to collect. You create an applicant account, set your preferences and register interest when a matching home falls vacant. M2 Gruppen's letting policy requires that you are 18, have a regular gross income from a permanent job, a business or a pension, and have no payment defaults. Annual pre-tax income should be roughly three times the annual rent. Benefits do not count as regular income; CSN student finance is accepted for student housing. Distance studies are not accepted, and a student home is temporary housing if you take at least 15 higher-education credits per term or study at a higher vocational school at least half-time. M2 Gruppen run a credit check, require home insurance and follow Boverket's overcrowding standard. Good references from a previous landlord count in your favour.

M2 Gruppen publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on which home falls vacant and how many others register interest. They give no exact figure in months. To keep the account active you need to log in at least once every three months. Decline or fail to answer an offer more than five times in a six-month period and you are blocked from applying for six months. M2 Gruppen do not publish what happens to the registration when you sign a contract.
