About Lulebo
Lulebo is Luleå Municipality's municipal housing company, with around 7,750 rental homes, of which just over 1,000 are student homes and just over 325 are in sheltered housing. They have four queues: ordinary apartments (including sheltered and age-restricted homes), student apartments, parking spaces and storage. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the registration date, and you can see the balance on Mina sidor. Vacant homes are published on weekdays and stay open for three working days; viewing offers go to the eight applicants with the most points who registered interest. The points are personal and cannot be transferred. You can register from the day you turn 15, but a tenancy is only signed with someone who has turned 18. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking.
Lulebo publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. To keep your points you need to log in at least once a year, or the queue goes dormant and is deleted after another twelve months. When you accept a tenancy the points in that queue reset, including for a student apartment. Short-term contracts are the exception: you keep your queue time.
