Ljungbybostäder housing queue

Ljungbybostäder AB is owned by Ljungby Municipality and manages around 1,400 rental homes in Ljungby, Lagan, Lidhult and Ryssby. Alongside ordinary rentals they let student apartments by Högskolecentrum Ljungby, activity housing for anyone aged 65 or over (Uttern 65+ and Björnen 65+), plus parking spaces and storage. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on points. From the day you register you earn one point per day. When a home falls vacant you register interest on Mina sidor, and among those who meet the letting policy the queue points guide the selection. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. To get a contract your net income must be at least twice the monthly rent, and you need to show that the income will last at least six months. They run a credit check.

Ljungbybostäder publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. To stay in the queue and keep collecting points you must log in to Mina sidor at least every six months. When you get an apartment the queue points reset. You can register again at the earliest 14 days after the contract is issued, and you may not register interest in a new home or sign a new contract within six months.
