About Linden
Linden, Fastighets AB Linden, is Nässjö Municipality's public housing company and has let homes since 1941. They own around 1,750 rental homes in Nässjö, of which 34 are in Bodafors, and they also let apartments in Anneberg through the subsidiary Annebergsbostäder. Alongside ordinary rentals they let garages and parking spaces. Anyone who wants a space contacts the office. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue runs on points. You start collecting them the day you register, one point per day. When a home is given notice it is listed as vacant for seven days, you register interest, and among the applicants who meet the letting policy, queue points and ability to pay carry the most weight. Linden can make exceptions: priority can go to someone who has got a job in the locality, young people in Nässjö Municipality who have got work and want to move out of the family home are prioritised, and they reserve the right to choose the tenant freely. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. To get a contract you must have turned 18 and be registered as resident in Sweden, have no payment or disturbance remarks, and be able to show an income that makes it reasonable to cover the rent.
Linden publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. To stay active in the queue you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once in any 12-month period. When you are allocated a home the points reset. If you already live with them you must have lived at least nine months in the same apartment before you can be offered a new one.
