LF Fastighet housing queue

LF Fastighet is Länsförsäkringar Östgöta's property company. The buildings are part of the company's asset management and sit in central Linköping: Innerstaden, Vasastaden and Gottfridsberg. They own and manage 533 rental homes and just over 100 commercial premises, and also let garages and parking spaces. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the day you register on the website. The points are personal and cannot be transferred or combined with anyone else's. When a home falls vacant you register interest, at most three at a time, and among those who meet the letting rules, queue time is the basic rule. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. They run a credit check before contract and weigh references from a previous landlord or employer. The basic rule is that you have no disturbance reports, payment defaults or debts to a landlord, and that you are judged able to pay the rent. Tenants must hold a valid home insurance policy. Permanent employees of Länsförsäkringar Östgöta with at least 50 percent hours and one year's service have priority for apartments.

LF Fastighet publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. They give no exact figure in months. To stay in the queue you need to log in and update your details at least once every six months. When you accept and sign a contract the points reset. If you want to apply again you may register at the earliest six months from the move-in date, as a tenant via Mina sidor. Decline, or fail to answer, three times within six months and you are blocked from applying for apartments for six months.
