About Kindahus
Stiftelsen Kindahus is Kinda Municipality's public housing company and lets around 950 rental homes in Kisa and Rimforsa. Alongside ordinary rentals they have the Kindagård senior housing for anyone aged 55 or over, and they also let storage, parking spaces and commercial premises. Storage is applied for in the same way as apartments. A parking space requires that you already hold a tenancy, and it has to be next to the area you live in. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.
The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the day you register. Vacant homes are listed for seven days, you register interest on Mina sidor. In at most five listings at a time, and the viewing offer goes to the applicant with the most points. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. If you already live with them and want to move, you still have to register as an applicant.
Kindahus publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the size of the home, the area and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. They publish no exact figure in months. To keep your points you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once a year, or contact them. When you move into a home the points reset.
