About Junehem

Junehem AB is one of Jönköping Municipality's public housing companies and lets around 2,800 homes in Bankeryd, Gränna, Norrahammar, Taberg, Tenhult, Visingsö and other districts outside central Jönköping. Alongside ordinary rentals there is sheltered housing from age 65 in Norrahammar and Bankeryd, advertised in the same queue and under the same letting policy. Parking spaces, garages and carports are applied for on Mina sidor if you already hold a tenancy. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the registration date. As an existing Junehem tenant you earn two points per day, but you have to join the housing queue yourself to collect them. Registration is personal and cannot be transferred. When a home falls vacant you register interest, at most three at a time, and among the applicants who meet the letting policy, the one with the most points gets it. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. No priority is applied, except through Jönköping Municipality's cooperation agreement, and on Visingsö families with children are prioritised. New-build can use other allocation rules. You can register without a Swedish personal identity number, but you need one to sign a tenancy. After-tax income must at least match Kronofogden's reserved amount, and you must have had no payment defaults in the past three years and no debts.

Junehem publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the area, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. To keep your place you need to renew your registration by logging in at least once every twelve months, or the points are lost. When you sign a contract the housing application is closed and the points reset. You can register again after you have signed. If you give notice but stay in the queue the points are recalculated to one per day from the registration date. The bonus points disappear. Points also reset if you complete a direct swap.
