Hässlehem housing queue

Hässlehem is Hässleholm municipality's public housing company and owns and manages around 2,100 rental homes in Hässleholm, Bjärnum, Hästveda, Sösdala, Tyringe, Vinslöv and Vittsjö. Alongside ordinary rentals there is 50-plus housing where at least one person in the household has turned 50, senior housing from 60 and sheltered housing from 70. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on points. You earn one point per day from the day you register, and the points are personal. They cannot be transferred or combined. Vacant homes are published for five days. You register interest yourself, and among the applicants who meet the letting policy, viewings go to those with the most points and an approved credit check. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the points count from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. Hässlehem require an acceptable income and always run a credit check. Serious payment defaults, debts with Kronofogden or debts to Hässlehem disqualify you. You must be 18 to sign a contract.

Hässlehem publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the town, the size of the home and how many applicants with more points apply for the same one. To keep your points you need to log in to Mina sidor at least once a year, or the account is deleted and the points are lost. When you sign a contract the queue points are deleted, but you automatically start collecting new points from the contract date. You cannot apply for another home until six months after move-in.
