Håbohus housing queue

Håbohus AB is Håbo Municipality's housing company and lets around 1,500 apartments in Bålsta and Skokloster, from a 1-room with pantry to 5 rooms and a kitchen. Registering is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue runs on queue time, which Håbohus also call points. Time counts from the day you register, and the application is personal. It cannot be transferred. Vacant homes are published on the website for seven days, usually on Thursdays. You register interest yourself, at most five listings at a time. Offers go to the ten applicants with the longest queue time who meet the requirements. It is not a municipal housing agency with a numbered place, but the time counts from the day you join. That is why registering early is worthwhile, even before you start looking. People aged 18 to 23 who have been registered as living in Håbo Municipality for the past two years can apply for extra queue time, once. After-tax income must cover the rent plus Kronofogden's subsistence amount. You must have no debts to Håbohus or payment defaults in the past 18 months.

Håbohus publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on the size of the home, the area and how many applicants with longer queue time apply for the same one. To keep your points you need to update your details on Mina sidor at least once every twelve months, or you have to register again and start from zero. When you sign a tenancy you are removed from the queue. If you turn down or do not reply to offers five times within twelve months you are blocked from applying for six months.
