Derebo Ekängen housing queue

Derebo Ekängen is new-build housing in Ekängen, in Linköping municipality. The project comprises 300 rental homes in total, and the first stage is 79 apartments. It is a project waitlist for this area, not a shared queue for all of Derebo's projects. Registering interest is free. There is no annual fee.

The queue does not work like a municipal housing agency. You get no numbered place and there are no queue points to collect. Instead you register interest in the project, on Derebo's website or through HomeQ. Derebo write that all interest applications are handled the same way. An application is not a booking: there may be several interested parties for the same home, and the agreement is binding only once the tenancy is signed. If your application proceeds, the letting team get in touch. To rent you need to document your income with an employment certificate and payslips, and they run a credit check before a contract is signed.

Derebo publish no average queue time. How long it takes depends on which homes are released and how many others have registered interest. They publish no exact figure in months. To keep the registration active you need to log in at least once a year. Derebo do not publish what happens to your registration if you miss that, nor what happens to it when you sign a contract.
